How does Tuition Help?
Recently at Marketown Shopping Centre I met a colleague I studied with at Teacher's College in Newcastle over 40 years ago. We chatted about what we are doing now? I mentioned Light House Tuition.... then we discussed 'the good old days' when students were more disciplined and classrooms were places of learning.
Katrina shook her head.... and we discussed the difficulty of teaching today in difficult classrooms where one or two (usually boys) or several students regularly 'derail' a lesson. For they have near zero expectations and teachers have to work very hard to gain some control over disruptive students.
While those who want to learn wait patiently and sometimes impatiently to learn, this learning environment is similar to lion taming where teachers spend most of their lesson disciplining aggressive and unco-operative students.

Tuition is not competing with schools we are here to help parents and teachers in the process of quality learning.
